All Hands In

Collaboration + Community

“Alone we can do so little;

together we can do so much.”

- Helen Keller

BuildABLE, Abilities Ottawa & Spinal Cord Injury Ontario have led the creation of 3 incredible expos in Ottawa that have brought together diverse businesses, organizations, artists, athletes & more. Each event upheld their unique focus - but overall, the goal was to bring our communities together to explore resources and create valuable connections. So why not bring everyone together!?

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Abilities Ottawa

Ottawa Inclusive & Para Sports Expo

Over the past three years, OIPSE has been a true collaboration between our health care, education and sport community. With a dedicated committee of TR professionals and coaches; hundreds of athletes, caregivers, coaches and community members with disabilities filled the gymnasiums at Carleton University. Attendees participated in sports demonstrations, exhibits, met fellow coaches to learn about inclusive and adapted sport programming - and so much more.

BuildAble Design + Renovations’ accessibility team brought the inaugural and triumphant Adaptive Living Expo to life in 2024. From newborns to centenarians, they hosted nearly 1000 guests of all abilities. In addition to the first Chronic & Iconic Makers’ Market supporting disabled & chronically ill artists; both exhibitors & attendees only requested that the 2025 expo be even bigger. We listened.

Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCIO) offers services designed to empower individuals with spinal cord injuries and mobility disabilities. The SCIO Access Expos showcase adaptive equipment, products and services that enable people with disabilities to accomplish both everyday tasks and extraordinary feats.

Whimble: Your team on tap.

We are thrilled to have Whimble on board.. umm.. we mean, on tap... to help provide support on the day of and in bringing this Adapt Expo coming together!

Whimble has been a big part of each expo - and it wouldn't be the same without them here!

To bring Eastern Ontario the largest locally-driven expo

dedicated to accessibility and inclusion - for all ages and abilities.

To create a transformative and collaborative event that fosters connection, empowerment, meaningful participation and purposeful community impact.

Connect with your community, learn about or try an adaptive sport, attend informative workshops & presentations or engage in interactive activities.  Our hope is to foster an inclusive and accessible environment where attendees can explore local products, services & resources that enhance our daily lives.
